Who We Are:
Brighton Volunteer Ambulance Inc. has proudly served the Town of
Brighton for over 25 years since our beginning on June 25, 1986.
Since then it has our goal to provide quality professional emergency
medical services for the residents and visitors to our community.

Our volunteer and career personnel come from all walks of life.
Many are residents and nearby community members like you.
Some are career EMTs and Paramedics.  Others are nurses,
engineers, self employed business people - even a few
manufacturing workers.

Today, BVA's combined five ambulances and two Advanced Life
Support "flycars" log over 60,000 miles each year on emergency
medical calls.  Top priority calls are answered well within the
national and regional response times.

In 2010, BVA responded to over 5,000 calls for emergency medical
services, 7 days a week, 24 hours per day.

With a membership of approximately 100 trained, professional
responders, BVA is ready to answer non emergency and
emergency calls for basic and advanced life support.   We are
certified by the New York State Department of Health as a
ambulance service.

You can be assured BVA can assist you with non emergency lift
assists and emergency medical services as skilled clinicians and
passionate patient advocates.

But we are a lot more than an emergency medical services provider.
At BVA, we understand the key to being healthy is keeping each
other safe in the first place.     We participate in continual
professional development to boost our skills in speciality areas like
pediatrics and elderly residents.  We participate in area healthcare
research to help foster a healthy community.  We offer many
prevention services for our residents including blood pressure
checks, CPR classes, and standbys at local area events such as 5k
runs, charity walks, Farmer's Market and The Town of Brighton's
annual July 4th celebration at Meredian Centre.

We do all of this because Brighton is our hometown too.

We are continually looking for
new members and offer a variety of
services to the community.
