Volunteer!
We are always looking for volunteers to fill openings in
shifts. Some positions require New York State training,
while others only require BVA specific training. All road
personnel are trained by Field Training Officers before
they are cleared to practice.
After completion of an initial training period, members are
eligible for tuition coverage or reimbursement for a variety
of continuing medical education, including the state EMT
course. Please see the New York State protocols for more
information.
Besides providing medical attention to the citizens of
Brighton and their surrounding communities, volunteers
can also assist with community education, stand-by
events, teaching CPR & First Aid courses, and other
duties.
